
Ram Regiment Marching Band

The Reidsville High School Ram Regiment are the most active performing ensemble in the band program. It is a competitive marching band that performs at various festivals throughout North Carolina. The Marching Band is also an integral part of the Friday night lights festivities at every home football game and select away games during the Fall semester. The Marching Band performs annually in the Reidsville and Wentworth holiday parades and participates in various other events throughout the community of Rockingham County. Every December, the Marching Band presents a holiday concert that includes pieces from the marching season and holiday concert pieces. The Marching Band is a class in the Fall that meets every day as well as having after school sectionals and some night rehearsals. It is open to any woodwind, brass, or percussion instrument. Each member of the Marching Rams is vital and, therefore, must meet the following expectations:
They must attend Band Camp and all required rehearsals
They must have a positive school disciplinary record
They must meet any academic participation requirements set forth by Reidsville High School and Rockingham County Schools
They must have prior musical experience
Color Guard
The RHS Color Guard is an important part of the Ram Regiment. It is open to any RHS student who is interested in flag work, rifle work, choreography, and movement; students are not required to have prior musical or band experience. The Guard is not currently a part of the daily class and rehearses after school throughout the week. Membership in the Color Guard is based on auditions that are held near the end of April or beginning of May.
